About

Before becoming an attorney, I was personally involved in a divorce where we were able to come to an amicable out-of-court settlement, and I was personally involved in a second divorce where my former husband was unwilling to cooperate in an amicable out-of-court settlement resulting in complex, protracted divorce litigation. I have seen the difference between the two and the consequences of each. If an out-of-court settlement can be reached without lengthy litigation, it is better for everyone involved. But, if that’s not possible, then I am prepared to fight the tough battles. Because of my experiences, I can identify with and empathize with my clients going through the process. I personally know what it is like to experience the frustration of working through the court system. My goal is to protect my clients from avoiding the pitfalls in the process, so that they get the best possible outcome for their situation.

I graduated from Stetson University College of Law and the University of South Florida where I graduated, summa cum laude, with a degree in Mass Communications. I have a broad background in a variety of businesses, including banking, real estate, retail, accounting, and television news. I even had my own public affairs talk show. In addition, I had the exciting experience of running for political office where I honed my public speaking skills which serves me well in representing my clients in court.

I have served on several boards and committees throughout my career. Currently, I am a member of the City of Sarasota’s City Commission, Member of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, Member of a Florida League of Cities legislative committee, and President of the Regency Condominium Association Board of Directors.

I am a member of the Florida Bar and Sarasota County Bar Association. I am authorized to appear and practice in all the state courts in Florida
